Gloucester County Schools
............................................................................................................................................
Two schools within the Gloucester
County Schools system use Phoenix to meet their Media Retrieval and Campus
Automation needs: Gloucester High School and
Bethel Elementary School.
Both facilities are fairly standard systems with AMX Television Managers in the
classrooms and racks of Sony SLV-D380 DVD/VHS combo units in the Head
End. Synergy (the predecessor to Phoenix) was installed at both
schools in 1997. The upgrade to Phoenix occurred over a one-week
period in April of 2007. The district is in the process of installing NEC
VT580 projectors in classrooms and so the upgrade to Phoenix was well
timed. Phoenix will enable them to continue to use their existing
televisions until they are phased out while also having the ability to schedule
and control the projectors through a central interface.

Realm Control Corp. extends thanks to Joseph Snare, the Director of Technology, for selecting Phoenix as the upgrade path for their schools. We would also like to mention the Library Media Center staff: Wrenn Kibler, Angela Saunders, and Sara Siemiatkowski. Special thanks to Jim Maloney and the entire IT / Technical staff for assistance during the upgrade process.
