The picturesque rural community of Landisville, just outside of Lancaster Pennsylvania, seems quiet and separate from the urban environment. However, with a student body of approximately 2400, the technology needs of the school district are significant. Mike Greer, the Media Director for Hempfield High School, chose Phoenix32 as the upgrade path for their obsolete system. Phoenix32 was installed in July of 2005.

Mac Attack

When Mike Greer first contacted Realm Control Corp., he had one prerequisite for their system: scheduling and control must be available using the Macintosh OS. Although there were some compatibility issues to resolve amongst the various browsers (IE, Safari, Netscape, and Firefox), the upgrade was a smooth one. The school now has access to the rich feature set offered by Phoenix and an intuitive web interface that is accessible via browsers running on the Macintosh.
