Madison School District
Synopsis

With seven schools in need of an upgrade from Synergy, the
administrative staff of
Madison School district couldn't
play around with untried solutions. After learning of the
existence of Phoenix32, they contacted their Dealer,
Netsian
Technologies Group , and requested a demonstration.
Realm Control Corp. met with Madison School District at the Netsian
headquarters in Tempe, Arizona to demonstrate the software.
Present at the meeting were several representatives from
Netsian, as well as Tom Clark, the Director of Information
Services for Madison School District. After seeing the
intuitive nature of the Phoenix32 web client, Tom
immediately knew that he had found their upgrade path.
7 Schools, 1 Solution
During the week of July 11-15, Shane Burke of Realm Control Corp. met
with the installation team from Netsian Technologies Group
to conduct the first of seven installs. Tom O'Brian and Dan
Nelson oversaw the complete rebuild of their Head End media
equipment to include new DVD and VHS units. The first school
on the docket for upgrade was Rose Lane Elementary, which
was completed without incident. Because the upgrade of Rose
Lane went so smooth, they all moved on to Simis Elementary
and upgraded that facility during the course of the week as
well. After upgrading the two schools, Shane spent some time
with the staff and faculty of Madison School District for a
crash course in the many new features of Phoenix. Shane also
visited the remaining five schools and retrieved their
databases, which he converted over the course of subsequent
weeks so that Netsian could continue with the remaining
installations.
Conclusion
Realm Control Corp. would like to thank Netsian Technologies Group for
partnering to provide this solution to Madison School
District. Special thanks are extended to Dan Nelson, Lee
Gruber, and Tom O'Brian. And, of course, a very special
thanks goes out to Tom Clark for choosing Phoenix32 as the
upgrade path for their obsolete Synergy Media Retrieval
systems.
