Axon is a lightweight Windows application
that runs on the Canopus MediaEdge
file server. The cost of the utility is $29.95. Axon
provides the following capabilities:
Automatically
connects to the Canopus database and acquires content,
categories, and destinations (clients).
Displays the content list and
allows filtering by category.
Provides a simple mechanism for
sending content to destinations and controlling the streams.
Provides a mechanism to name the
encoder cards according to the analog devices that they are
connected to.
Allows manual encoding of content
using the MVR-D4000 encoder card.
Provides optional automatic content
registration following encoding of new content.
